You've been added as check-in staff for an event. This guide will help you check in attendees quickly and efficiently using either the MeetPure mobile app or web portal.

Your Role

As check-in staff, you can:

  • ✅ Scan QR codes on tickets

  • ✅ Search for attendees by name or ticket number

  • ✅ Mark attendees as checked in

  • ✅ View check-in statistics

For security, you cannot:

  • ❌ See attendee personal information (phone, address)

  • ❌ Modify event details

  • ❌ Access financial information

  • ❌ Export attendee lists


Getting Started

You Should Have Received

When added as check-in staff, you received an email with:

  1. QR code - For mobile app login

  2. Direct link - For web portal access

  3. Event details - Name, date, and venue

Important: Your access expires after 30 days. Contact the organizer if you need extended access.

Choose Your Method

You can check in attendees using either:

  • Mobile App (Recommended) - Fastest for QR scanning

  • Web Portal - Works on any device with internet


Method 1: Mobile App (Recommended)

Step 1: Install the App

Android

  • Open Google Play Store

  • Search "MeetPure Check-In"

  • Install the app

  • Direct link

iPhone

  • iOS version coming soon

  • Use web portal instead

Step 2: Login to App

Option A: Scan QR Code (Easiest)

  1. Open the MeetPure Check-In app

  2. Tap "Scan Auth QR"

  3. Point camera at the QR code in your email

  4. You're logged in!

Option B: Click Link on Phone

  1. Open the email on your phone

  2. Click the authentication link

  3. App opens and logs you in automatically

Step 3: Check In Attendees

Main Screen Shows:

  • Event name and date

  • Check-in progress bar

  • Statistics (checked in / remaining / total)

To Check Someone In:

Scanning QR Codes (Fastest - 3 seconds)

  1. Tap the QR Scanner button (camera icon)

  2. Point at attendee's ticket QR code

  3. You'll see one of these:

    • Green screen = Successfully checked in

    • ⚠️ Yellow screen = Already checked in (tap "Check in anyway" if they're re-entering)

    • Red screen = Invalid ticket

Manual Search (When QR Won't Scan)

  1. Tap Manual Entry or Search

  2. Type attendee's:

    • Name, OR

    • Ticket number, OR

    • Email

  3. Tap on their ticket

  4. Tap Check In

What You'll See:

  • Attendee name

  • Ticket type/section

  • Check-in status

  • Previous check-in time (if already checked in)


Method 2: Web Portal

Step 1: Access Portal

  1. Open any web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox)

  2. Click the direct link from your email

  3. You're automatically logged in

Step 2: Check In Attendees

Search for Attendees:

  1. Type in the search box:

    • Name (first or last)

    • Email address

    • Ticket number

    • Order ID

  2. Click Search

Check Them In:

  • Green "Check-in" button = Not checked in yet → Click to check in

  • Yellow "Re-check-in" button = Already checked in → Click only if they're re-entering

Information Shown:

  • Ticket number

  • Attendee name

  • Ticket type

  • Current status

  • Check-in history


During the Event

Common Situations

"Already Checked In" Message

What it means: Someone already scanned their ticket

What to do:

  • Ask if they left and are re-entering

  • If yes → Tap "Check in anyway" or "Re-check-in"

  • If no → They may be at wrong entrance or someone else used their ticket

QR Code Won't Scan

Try these fixes:

  1. Ask attendee to increase screen brightness

  2. Wipe camera lens

  3. Move to better lighting

  4. If still not working → Use manual search

Can't Find Attendee

What to check:

  • Try alternate spellings

  • Search by email instead

  • Try partial name (just first or last)

  • Ask for their order confirmation number

  • If still not found → Direct to organizer/help desk

No Internet Connection

Mobile App: Will show connection error - wait for connection to restore Web Portal: Won't work offline - switch to mobile app if possible

Best Practices

For Fast Check-Ins:

  • Ask attendees to have QR codes ready

  • Keep camera lens clean

  • Stand in well-lit area

  • Have backup device ready

Communication:

  • Be friendly and welcoming

  • If there's an issue, stay calm

  • Direct complex problems to organizer

  • Know where help desk is located

Security:

  • Don't share your login with others

  • Don't check in people without valid tickets

  • Report suspicious activity to organizer

  • Log out when finished

  1. QR Scanning: 3-5 seconds per person

  2. Manual Search: 10-15 seconds per person

  3. Keep line moving: If issue, ask person to step aside

  4. Batch families: Check in groups together

What You CAN'T Do

Remember, for security you cannot:

  • Change ticket information

  • Issue new tickets

  • Process refunds

  • See payment details

  • Access other events

  • Call/text organizer (if number provided)

Technical Issues:

  • Try the other method (switch between app/web)

  • Ask another staff member for help
