This guide walks you through the steps for issuing a refund for a ticket order using the MeetPure event‑management dashboard. It assumes you have organizer access to the event and are already familiar with basic navigation of the platform.
1. Access the Event’s Ticket Orders
Sign in as the event organizer: Go to
https://meetpure.eventsand log in using your organizer credentials.Open your event: From the Manage My Events page, select the event for which you need to issue a refund.
Enter edit mode: On the event dashboard, click the event card to open its edit view.
Navigate to Ticket Orders: Expand the Publish section in the left sidebar, then select Ticket Orders. This page lists all orders placed for the event.
2. Review the Order
Locate the order: Find the order you want to refund in the list. You can identify it by the attendee name, email, order ID or date.
Open the order details: Click the order ID link to open a detailed view. The order detail page shows:
Order date and ticket count.
Ticket status (e.g. Issued or Cancelled).
Payment method and status.
Subtotal, taxes, fees, and total paid.
Before refunding, verify that the order amount, ticket type and purchaser information match the request.
3. Initiate the Refund
Locate the refund action: In the order detail page, look for an Actions dropdown or button (typically in the upper‑right of the order summary box).
Select
Cancel & Refund Order: Choose this option to cancel the tickets and refund the customer’s payment. A confirmation dialog will appear.Confirm the refund: Read the confirmation message carefully; refunds can’t be undone. Click OK or Confirm to proceed.
MeetPure Events will process the refund via Stripe. The attendee will receive a notification email, and any issued tickets will be invalidated.
4. Verify the Refund Status
After the refund is processed, the order detail page will update automatically. You should see:
Payment status:
Refunded(instead ofPaid).Ticket status:
Cancelledfor each ticket.Financial summary: A negative “Total refunded” amount equal to the original charge and a zero payout to the organizer.
Refund ID: A Stripe refund identifier confirming the transaction.
You can also confirm that the ticket is no longer valid by checking the Tickets section of the order; it will show a cancelled status.
5. Important Notes
All tickets in the order will be cancelled. Once you refund an order, every ticket associated with that order becomes invalid and attendees will no longer be able to use them.
Fees behave differently for buyer and seller:
• If a platform fee was charged to the buyer, that fee is not refunded, so the attendee receives back only the ticket price and taxes.
• Any payment processing fee or platform fee assessed to the organizer will be deducted from the organizer’s payout as a negative amount when the refund is processed. Both the organizer and the buyer receive email confirmations of the refund. These emails include the refunded amount, the order ID and a link to view order details.
Refunds on MeetPure are full refunds only; partial refunds are not currently supported.
Once an order is refunded, the action cannot be undone. If the attendee changes their mind, they must purchase a new ticket.
Guests or ticket buyers can view their order status via the unique order‑details link sent in the confirmation email; this link will also show the updated refund status.
Following these steps ensures that cancellations and refunds are handled consistently and transparently for both organizers and attendees.
